Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Is it not written by the greatest Teacher of All, “But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear?” (Matthew 13:16)

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, Neither have entered into the heart of man, The things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Me knowest all these things to be true, but as Shakespeare wrote: “How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees?”

What degrees pray thee? First, alloweth me share mine triumphs. My Patent ductus arteriosus, or PDA, has resolveth itself (no surgery needeth); my Peripherally inserted central catheter, aka PICC line, whicheth was stucketh becauseth of a blood clot was safely removeth (no surgery needeth); I no longer needeth an Incubator because I produceth mine own heat and I beefedeth up myself to five pounds six ounceths.

Mama encourageth me to learneth as much Shakespeare as possible, but as she knoweth, learning to be patient is so much more hardeth.

Degrees yet to be conqueredeth: My ventilation apparatus needs be removeth and I must weaneth off all pain medication that is addicteth. And the plan to get me safely hometh is too much forthcometh.

Easier written, Shakespeare, than intendeth. Much ado about nothing? I thinketh NOT! Alls Well that Ends Well? Well, Seventy dayeths in a NICU is no funneth at alleth.

Howe’er to all mine fine friends whom continue to prayeth and beseech God’s blessing upon mine, “Take from my heart all thankfulness!” (Shakespeare, Pericles, Act III)
