
Luck runs in our family. One year ago today, on Saint Patrick’s Day, I thought my Grandpa Randy was going to die. He was flying home from Houston (after I was born there…if you are confused, please refer to my first Blog Page, titled “I am Madeleine Rose.”) Anyway, I feel some what responsible for his Near Death Experience (NDE) but it was Grandma who booked his fateful flight not me. Grandma only flies Delta non-stop flights. But she thinks it is OK for Grandpa to fly America Airlines with a one-stop in Phoenix. Furthermore, she booked Grandpa on flight AA 1871, the fateful flight that was hit by lightening.

Well, I know what Grandpa’s reaction was. He thought he was going to DIE! And worse than that, he missed Grandma’s annual St. Patrick Day dinner. The good news: Grandma saved him a plate. Boy, was he hungry.
