The Gift of Tongues

Who knew I would be so conversational? It has been rumored I spend all my time playing games on my tablet, being the new face of what is cool or contemplating the purpose of life. Really?

I need to put these rumors to rest. “Got it?” No, I don’t need to know if you understand me, I say “got it” when you hand me something. Listen and learn!

“Da-da” is what you think it is.

“Ma-ma” is the ever-so-beautiful woman we all know.

“Ba-ba.” No, I don’t want a baby bottle. It means ‘bye-bye”…I want to go out and have some fun with you.

“Hey, Hi and Bye” mean just that. Let’s not complicate language.

“That,” meaning “I want that!” or “Back” meaning “I want that back.” Why use too many words when just one will suffice?

“All done.”

As Paul taught and recorded in 1 Corinthians chapter 12:

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.

Friends, if you are challenged with baby talk, pray for the gift of interpretation of tongues. Obviously, I have been blessed with a gift from God…the Gift of Tongues and I tend to use this gift to bless myself and others. If you don’t want to listen, fine. I will just scream.
